I installed windows 10 as i always do, and after some restarts, my nvidia driver has been replaced with another from windows update (i think). if i reinstall the driver, everything goes back to normal, but after some restarts, the driver is replaced again.. Question anyway to stop windows 10 pro auto install of nvidia driver? once i get to the desktop i stick in a usb drive where i previously downloaded the current nvidia driver then install it. that keeps windows from downloading one from windows update. since this is the point before i install the new driver windows is still on generic. Alternatively: stop windows 10 from automatically installing updates (not recommended) related: how to prevent windows 10 from automatically downloading updates if you want to temporarily prevent windows from automatically downloading and installing any updates, you can do it without using the above tool to block updates..
Windows 10 - how to stop built-in apps from installing automatically? solved after installing nividia gt525m drivers from drivereasy updates, windows get restarted automatically after sometime. One of the windows 10 related complaints i hear regularly on supersite for windows and through social media is the mandatory delivery of universal drivers through windows update.. I have installed the cuda 8 rc package, which installs a gpu driver. but after a while windows decides it is best to install a new gpu driver, which stops cuda from working. i have a windows 10 64bit pc with a gtx580 card..
