Operating system: mac os x 10.6 snow leopard hello-have read that there are no printer drivers for the envy 7640 which will work with mac os 10.6.8 or snow leopard. is there any work around-i don't mind losing scan function etc.. Ideally yes, if you are connecting the printer using the usb then you might be able to install the printer on your mac 10.6 machine using the mac built-in printer drivers. check the steps below: connect the usb cable from the printer to your mac.. It seems that although the hp store (and staples website) indicates the 6830 supports the 10.6 os, the actual drivers on the support page do not. the product specifications for systmen requiremnets need to be corrected on the hp store page for this printer as a customer buying a printer doesn't look to a support page to see if there is a driver.
