Glo Rolls Out Borrow Me Data Double Free Tomorrow and 2 Others Products
Globacom is here again with a new product called "Glo Borrow Me Data", also reloaded three other existing products. This was done to prove their commitment to continually empower its subscribers with affordable and innovative telecommunications products and services. The three products which have been repackaged following their success and appeal in the market are Double Free Tomorrow, 11k/s for All, and IDD Packs.
The new product, Glo Borrow Me Data, allows subscribers to borrow Data credit of up to 2GB whenever their data bundles are exhausted and they have no airtime balance to recharge their data plan or in cases of unsuccessful subscription bundle activation due to low balance.
The eligibility criterion for "Glo Borrow Me Data" offer includes how long a customer has been on the network and the average monthly data usage.
To Borrow Glo DataSimply dial *321# and follow the menu options. The service will then push real time Data credit to all eligible subscribers in line with the stated eligibility criterion. The customer will repay the Data credit whenever airtime recharge is made.
Not through yet, as I said earlier, there are other 3 existing products which have been repackaged, they are Double Free Tomorrow, 11k/s for All, and IDD Packs.
1. Double Free Tomorrow: Gives back to the subscriber 200% of whatever is spent on calls, SMS or data today to use for free the next day. In the re-loaded offer, Globacom calculates all the value of airtime a subscriber used in a day for internet services, phone calls, and SMS, and credits the subscriber’s phone with double this value at the start of the next day.In other words, when you spend more today, you get much more tomorrow. For instance, if a subscriber on the Glo network uses N500 credit in a day on calls, SMS and data, Glo will give back N1,000 credits to the subscriber the very next day to call all networks, SMS and browse free, To enjoy the service, subscribers need to dial *300#.
2. Gbam Plus 11k/s For All: It as a simple flat tariff plan which allows customers enjoy heavily reduced call rate on local and international calls. Under the plan, calls are charged at 11k/s to all local networks and for international calls to 30 top destinations.Dial *211# to migrate to the plan. Daily access fee of N5
3. IDD Packs: The IDD pack covers calls made from Nigeria to 30 major international destinations for as low as N6.60 per minute. The IDD 100 gives the subscriber 12 minutes of call valid for 3 days, while IDD 200 gives 24 call minutes for 7 days. The IDD 500 bundle gives 60 minutes of call for 14 days, while the fourth bundle, IDD 1000, will avail the user 150 call minutes valid for 30 days.
According to Globacom, the 30 destinations covered by the new IDD packs include United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, India, China and Japan.

Popular smartphone makers, Infinix, surprised everyone by announcing the release of a new member to the Hot Series, Infinix hot 4 (X557). If you recall, Infinix Hot 3 was just released a few months back and Infinix Hot S was rolled out just last month. This has left everyone surprised by the sudden release of the Hot 4 (X557). The Hot 4 is a 5.5 inch android device which runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The highlight of the phone is the fingerprint sensor fitted to the back of the phone just below the rear camera and the large 4000mAh Battery which lasts for up to 2 Days of heavy usage. The Infinix Hot 4 (X557) is available in Black, Red, Green, Blue and Gold. The 5.5inch screen is powered by 12 ultrabright LEDs which produce vivid images. The Smart dynamic calibration adjusts the screen brightness and contrast in real-time for clear viewing in daytime and a gentler display at night. Also, the 400mAh battery allows you to use the phone for up to 2 days. This is very useful given the erratic nature of power supply in the country.
The standout feature of the Hot 4 is the fingerprint sensor on the back of the device which allows you secure your phone without remembering any complicated long passwords. The Touch ID also allows you wake dormant apps and enables privacy control in supported apps. Other interesting features include the Smart Voice noise reduction technology and the XOS which is a hybrid of the Android M fully customized by Infinix with special features including Power saving mode.
The Infinix Hot 4 (X557) is available exclusively on Jumia for just N36,900. You can check out more pictures of the phone here. The Hot 4 is a budget phone with very decent specs and nice features. The phone is currently available only in Black for now.
In summary, the Infinix Hot S is a very decent device with high end specs (except the camera). I recommend it for anyone willing to buy a budget device between N35,000 and N40,000. I hope Infinix Mobility will stop rolling out new phones every month because its becoming a headache for phone buyers to choose between all these new fantastic phones.

Google Rolls Out Video Calling App Duo Android Facetime
During Google I/O conference few months back, Google announced two new messaging apps called "Allo" and "Duo". Allo is a text messaging app while Duo is a video messaging app which has some very cool features which makes it stand out. Google Duo app is designed to allow you make video calls to any other user whether you have a fast or slow internet connection. The Google Duo App is currently being rolled out on the Google Playstore and the Apple Store and is expected to be available in all regions before the end of the week. So, what is the Google Duo about?
Google Duo is an app that allows you make video calls to other users of the app even on a relatively poor internet connection. The Duo app makes use of contacts in your phonebook to find users on the app. The app doesnt require a Google account to register, all you need is your phone number just like how Whatsapp works. Google Duo is expected to be the competition to Apples Facetime which comes by default with iOS devices
One of the greatest features of the Google Duo is the "knock knock". This allows you to see a live video of who is calling you before you pick up the video call. This is a very nice feature and allows you know who is calling you beforehand, thereby allowing you have some sense of privacy. Also, all calls are end to end encrypted. Google Duo is available for Android and iOS devices. You can download Google Duo for Android from the Google Playstore . If it has not been rolled out in your region yet, you can download the APK from Apkmirror here. iOS users can download Google Duo from iTunes.
In summary, the Google Duo is a very lovely app and I cant wait to start using it. Some people have even rumoured it to be Googles version of the iPhones FaceTime feature. New android phones are expected to come with the App soon. I just love the fact that you use only your phone number to register just like Whatsapp. I wonder when WhatsApp will finally roll out the Video Calling feature, they are already carrying last. :-)
