Its Official Blackberry 10 Going into Extinction R I P to BB10
BlackBerry users have been predicting the death of BlackBerry 10 for quite some time, and John Chen Blackberry CEO has now confirmed that there will be no second coming for BB10 devices in the future. Let’s nail it and hide it inside the coffin. Blackberry will only release two more updates for that device this year and next year respectively.
Chen clearly stated in his latest interviews with Golf News: “We will support BB10 for minimum two more years as a lot of governments are using it, such as Canada, the U.S., Germany, and UK.”
...the company will now be focusing solely on its Android phones with the goal of producing “most secure Android smartphone for the enterprise.”
I’m sure you still remember the deadly targeted blow of the recent withdrawal of major app support like Facebook and WhatsApp? This finally nailed it and buried Blackberry 10 OS.
With Blackberry 10 going out of extinction; all eyes are now focused on the new Blackberry midrange Android phones nicknamed Rome and Hamburg; one of them will come with a full touchscreen and the other will have a physical keyboard.

Just when we thought the Data plan business was starting to favour us all, GLO has dealt million of Android users a huge blow by discontinuing the popular 3Gb for 1k Blackberry Plan. I got a lot of mails from people saying it no longer works until I tried subscribing myself yesterday with nothing in return. I called their customer care to ask what was wrong, and to my shock, I was told the plan has been discontinued.
What Next?
On dialing *777# , I discovered the 3Gb plan is still available but at a cost of N1,400. GLO probably decided that if we want to enjoy their Blackberry service we just have to pay more. There are other available plans that can still work with your tweaked Android device. They are as follows:
Complete 700MB for N400 lasts 7days
Absolute 500MB for N500 lasts 7days
Complete 3GB for N1400 lasts 30days
Absolute 3GB for N1500 lasts 30days
Just before you lose hope, have you tried any of the two Airtel Unlimited plans (Hourly and Nightly)? or are you going to stick to MTN new unlimited Data for N150? The choice is up to you!!

This is the final nail on Blackberry users. If you are still glued to your old Blackberry Smartphone, it is time to sow it as a seed to someone else or separate the battery from the phone and keep it in a safe place for reference purposes.
The first blow that kept Blackberry unbalance was when Whatsapp discontinue supports for BlackBerry devices, this extensively affected their market share and caused Blackberry to bow to pressure by producing her firstAndroid powered device in 2015 calledPriv.
However, Priv failed the company, failed the city and failed her customers; hence T-Mobile, one of the largest retail store in the US have stopped the sale of Blackberry Priv,AT&T one of blackberry Allie also backing out.
CEO John Chen said in October that the company would exit the smartphone business, which has been on life support for years.
And now, Etisalat have discontinued Blackberry Internet Services also known as BIS subscriptions. Here is the message they sent to their Blackberry subscribers.
“Dear Customer, our BB service will no longer be available. You will continue to enjoy your current subscription till it expires. Thank you for choosing Etisalat”
