New Airtel Data Plans 6GB for N1 500 UPDATED!

Airtel has just introduced two brand new data plans for heavy downloaders. Recently, it was discovered Airtel had scrapped the unlimited night plans (Click here to read about it) which was charged hourly. This was a huge blow to the face of heavy downloaders who always took advantage of the fast internet speed at night, to download heavy files.

The new Airtel data plan has been released to replace the old time based nightly data. These new plans only work at night from 12am to 5am. It should also be noted that these plans CANNOT be rolled over. If you dont exhaust your data before 5am, thats the end. Although I dont see any reason why you shouldnt.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE:
First, you have to migrate to the Airtel SmartTrybe Plan. Dial *312#, then press 1 to migrate. To subscribe for the 500MB plan at N25, dial *312# then press 3. For the 1.5GB plan at N50, dial *312# also, then press 3 to subscribe.
The other plan introduced by Airtel is the 1Gb for N500 plan, valid for a week (Day and Night). To subscribe for this just dial *312# and press 2 to subscribe.

UPDATE: GET 6GB FOR N1,500. DIAL *440*161#. WORKS ALL DAY AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH ANY DEVICE.

New GLO BlackBerry Data Plans

Just when we thought the Data plan business was starting to favour us all, GLO has dealt million of Android users a huge blow by discontinuing the popular 3Gb for 1k Blackberry Plan. I got a lot of mails from people saying it no longer works until I tried subscribing myself yesterday with nothing in return. I called their customer care to ask what was wrong, and to my shock, I was told the plan has been discontinued.

What Next?

On dialing *777# , I discovered the 3Gb plan is still available but at a cost of N1,400. GLO probably decided that if we want to enjoy their Blackberry service we just have to pay more. There are other available plans that can still work with your tweaked Android device. They are as follows:

Complete 700MB for N400 lasts 7days
Absolute 500MB for N500 lasts 7days
Complete 3GB for N1400 lasts 30days
Absolute 3GB for N1500 lasts 30days

CHECK OUT BRAND NEW GLO DATA PLAN (2GB for N1,000)

Except you are using a blackberry device, theres no need to subscribe for the absolute plans which cost N100 more. The difference between the Complete and Absolute plans are negligible on most Android devices.

24 hours back, I made a post on how to surf unlimited for free with Airtel sim. From the posted comments, I can see that some fans are not yet enjoying the tweak, due to the fact that the tweak is taking time to connect and some are complaining about often disconnection which is mostly caused by rusty 3G network in select areas.

Remember that I told you not to put any airtime on your Airtel sim, you must not be on any active data plan, also, clear your Psiphon or any other VPN data and cache.

Have airtime in your airtel SIM or active data plan is another major cause of often disconnection. At times, stuffed-up IP address (when lots of people are using one IP at the same time) can also be the cause of the issue.

Note: The Airtel unlimited free browsing tweak is still blazing very well as at the time of publishing this post. Make sure you set your network mode to 3G or 4G LTE and if it still disconnects, kindly try another VPN with it.

For those that are still complaining, change your Host Address and Port to any of the IPs with its Port below, to connect and surf with N0.0 via any of the specified VPN and Airtel sim.

New Working Setting For Glo N0 00 Unlimited Free Browsing Via Psiphon

Guys, it is time to enjoy unlimited free browsing with Glo network via Psiphon vpn. The setting is not something new and you might have used it few days back before it stopped working, but with the new settings below, you can get back on the track and start flexing unlimited with your Glo sim via Psiphon vpn.

» Use the Glo default APN for your phone setting i.e APN should be glosecure and both username and password should be secure
» Now, open the inbuilt Browser or Chrome, go to hsi.glo.com
Press green button, press continue PAYU and click on continue.
Reboot your smartphone

Launch Psiphon Handler, in the handler menu:
» Mark remove port
» Proxy type: Real host
» Proxy server: redirect.glo.com
» Real Proxy Type: HTTP
Real Proxy Port: 80
» Hit the Save button
» Immediately you click save, a pop up message will appear requesting to use Tunnel whole device, just tap on the option to Tunnel Whole Device and it will take you to the next phase
» Choose the Option Menu
» Under this Option menu, you will see Select Region, tap and select USA

» Go to your More Option settings and untick connect through HTTP Proxy
» Go back now to the main page of the Psiphon and tap the start button below, wait for few seconds for it to Connect. Then, fire up any browser and any other apps.

If your connection not stable, kindly connect your terminal emulator to make it stable. Download terminal emulator here.
Open the app, press any letter, then clean d letter and press ping 127.0.0.1, press enter. Make sure you connect your Psiphon before open the terminal emulator.
That is all.

» Port: 8080

This blog may just be a little over 2years old but thanks to you guys, I have recorded several achievements with this little blog of mine. In 2017, I have got a whole new package for yall!

Although 2016 might have brought its fair share of ups & downs, we still celebrated a few achievement. At the beginning of 2016, I made a few wishes and one of them came to pass. Data finally got cheaper! We can only hope for more pleasant surprises in 2017.

Check Out These New Etisalat Data Plans 1GB for N200

I dont seem to understand Etisalat these days, other networks have left them kissing the dust in the race to provide the most affordable data plans for Nigerians. The only consolation die hard Etisalat fans seem to have these days is the unstoppable browsing speed of the network. Recently, GLO launched the TGIF plan that gives you 3GB for N500 every weekend, Airtel rolled out their own night plans that give you 1.5GB for just N50 while MTN continues the Night Pulse Plan which gives you 500mb for N25 between 12 and 4am. Etisalat too have decided to join the Night and weekend crew, launching the new Etisalat Night plan which gives you 1GB of data for just N200 every Night. They also released two new weekend plans; 2GB for N1,000 and 5GB for N2,000 which Im sure 90% of Nigerians will not use given the cheaper alternatives available on other networks.

HOW CAN I SUBSCRIBE?

=> For 1GB @ N200 Night plan, dial *229*3*11#. Valid For One Night (12-5am)

=> For 2GB @ N1,000 weekend plan, dial *229*3*12#. Works all day during weekends and night only on weekdays.

=> For 5GB @ N2,000 weekend plan, dial *229*3*13#. Also works only at night on weekdays and all day on weekends.

Recommended For You:
=> Airtel 1.5GB for N50
=> GLO 3GB for N500 (weekend and night)
=> MTN 500MB for N25
