How To Use Instagram Stories The Snapchat Killer
Just when we thought Snapchat has left Instagram kissing the dust with no hope of the latter meeting the former in the photo/video sharing battle, the Facebook owned Instagram have decided to roll out their own version of what made Snapchat the popular app it is today by introducing a new feature called Instagram stories. Instagram stories basically allows you to post a picture or video and it can only be viewed by those you choose for only 24 hours after which it disappears forever.
This is basically what Snapchat App is all about. Even the name is a direct copy from Snapchat stories. It only shows how the Mark Zuckerberg owned brand is willing to push back to the top of the food chain. If you cant buy them, just copy them.
HOW TO USE INSTAGRAM STORIES
Before you start, you need to make sure that your Instagram app is updated to the latest version. Check at the end of this post for download links.
=> Open your Instagram app and tap he plus button on the top left-hand corner of your screen
=> This will turn on the story camera which you can use to take the picture or video yu want. You can also upload existing pictures and videos from your device too.
=> Take the picture/video or upload existing ones.
=> Edit the picture using new tools added (there are three types of pens you can use to make drawings or doodles)
=> Tap the Done button to save your story and tap the checkmark button to share the story.
HOW TO HIDE INSTAGRAM STORIES
=> Go to your profile and tap the button on the top right hand of your screen
=> Tap Story Settings
=> Tap "Hide my story from.." and adjust the settings as you wish and tap done.
You can also adjust people who comment to only those you follow, everyone or nobody.
With this new feature, Instagram has declared an all out war against SnapChat which will make a very interesting battle to watch. The battle line has been drawn. Instagram stories versus Snapchat Stories. Snapchat is probably somewhere just telling themselves: "Well, at least we have the dog filter and the flower crown filter. Who stories epp?" :-)

3. Then select LAN Settings. Another window should pop up.
4. In the LAN Settings window, Tick the check box under Proxy server that reads
"Use a proxy server for your LAN" then enter 10.71.170.5 under Address and 8080
under Port. Click OK on all open windows to save settings.
5. On your Android device, switch on your data transmission and switch on your
hotspot.
6. Make sure your computers WiFi is turned on then connect and Enjoy!
NB: To protect your data from being used without your permission, add a security
password or better still, limit the number of Maximum Connections to 1.
Additional Notes.
You may find that your Whatsapp doesnt connect. Thats because Whatsapp has not started allowing proxy connections. This is what you should do.
1. Go to Playstore and download SurfEasy
2. Launch the application and get registered.
3. Click Options and press Turn ON. On the pop-up that follows, Accept and OK.
4. It should start connecting. When a secure connection is established (only takes
a few seconds), minimize the application and open Whatsapp.
5. To download Whatsapp media (pictures, videos and audios) through this connection, temporarily disconnect SurfEasy.

- By default, the setting to limit mobile data usage is on, knocking down the video quality when youre away from Wi-Fi, so if you want full video quality this is where you can enable it.

Airtel Nigeria has said the introduction of Smart Number service, an innovation that allows Nigerian subscribers to use an additional line on their already in use Airtel SIM card, yet maintaining a single mobile phone is unique.
The new package is designed to empower owners of small businesses, entrepreneurs, top executives and professionals who wish to improve productivity as well as separate their professional/social and personal mobile lines while maintaining the use of a single phone and SIM card.
The Smart Number is a virtual number mapped to customer’s primary mobile line so that both lines can be used on a single phone. With this service, customer can define and determine the period when the Smart number is made active and reachable in order to make or receive calls and send or receive SMS.
Commenting on the new package, Enterprise Director, Airtel Nigeria, Tawa Bolarin, said the telco is intensely interested in defining new path and innovative ways of empowering and improving the productivity of professionals, top executives and business owners.
“The Smart Number service is intended to make life better, simpler and more enjoyable for business professionals. It is an innovative way of boosting productivity and driving business performance. Airtel will continue to pioneer new initiatives that will empower entrepreneurs and business professionals,” she said.
Apart from the user-controlled option, other features of the Smart Number include voice mail, call transfer, and value-added services such as conference call, group SMS, etc. Also, Airtel customers using Smart Number can conveniently maintain privacy and security by screening unwanted calls.
The Airtel Smart Number, which comes in two different packages – Basic and Plus – is available on monthly subscription for both pre-paid and post-paid customers on the network.
To subscribe for the package, customers can send ‘SUB’ as text to 619 and reply with either 1 or 2 to choose either the ‘Basic’ or ‘Plus’ package. Customers can also call the IVR on 618 and listens to the menu option to subscribe and manage the service.
The Smart Number can call/send text to all networks except international calls/text. To make calls or send through the Smart number, the subscriber is required to dial/text 66 before dialling the recipient’s number. Inbound call on the Smart Number is identifiable as 66 prefix appears before the eleven digits of the caller’s number.
The Smart Number, however, cannot be directly recharged with airtime so the airtime is drawn from the customer’s primary line.
According to Airtel, customers will also need to register the Smart number to ensure full KYC compliance.
