HOW TO SWITCH TO 4G LTE

MTN

MTN 4G LTE only supports band 800/1800/2100/2600MHz frequency. If your device supports it, just walk into any MTN office and request for a 4G LTE enabled SIM Card. Insert the SIM into your phone and text "4G" to 131. Make sure to check out MTN 4G LTE data plans and prices.

GLO

First of all make sure that your phone supports 700MHz LTE band. It is very important. If your phone is supported, just walk into any GLO office near you and request for a 4G LTE enabled SIM card. Its worth noting that GLO has the cheapest 4G LTE plans and the widest 4G coverage in Nigeria at the moment. Check out the GLO 4G LTE data plans.

NTEL

NTEL is the only 4G LTE network that offers unlimited data cap at the most affordable price. N1,000 will give you 2 days of unlimited data. Unfortunately, NTEL is only available in Lagos and Abuja for now. To use NTEL 4G LTE, just visit any of their store and get a SIM. Insert it into your phone and start browsing. ETISALAT

Etisalat 4G LTE is the simplest to switch. If you have a 4G enabled device, just go to settings and change your network to 4G and start enjoying the speed. Meanwhile, Etisalat just increased the prices of their data plans. You may want to check them out before you decide to switch.

MTN 4G LTE See the Data Plan and Prices

Note that a 4G LTE SIM will NOT work on a 3G smartphone or modem. Also, if you want to enjoy MTN 4G LTE, your phone must support band 800/1800/2100/2600MHz frequency. I discovered that some Android phones released earlier this year dont support this frequency. Check the manual or specs of your 4G phone now and confirm that it supports this frequency.

MTN also released the data plans and prices for the 4G network. Surprisingly, the plans are very different from the normal 3G plans. I wonder why 4G LTE data plans will be different from the 3G version. See them for yourself below:

Except you need the 4G services to run a business that will give you money, there is no need to waste your money on MTN 4G. Hopefully, as more subscribers switch to 4G, MTN will adjust their plans.

UPDATE: MTN is using the normal 3G data plan for their 4G LTE service now. That means that the normal 2GB for 1k plan is working. Check out the data plans.

To subscribe, just dial *444#  *131# and choose your preferred plan.

NOTE: You need to have a 4G enabled smartphone or router that supports the 800/1800/2100/2600/ MHz frequency. Then go to any MTN Walk in centre close to you and request for a 4G enabled SIM, theyd switch your current line to the SIM.

3. Cari tulisan ro.product.mod_devices=kenzo_global lalu tambahkan tanda pagar menjadi #ro.product.mod_devices=kenzo_global
4. Jika terdapat baris tulisan ro.miui.region=DF silahkan tambahkan juga tanda pagar menjadi #ro.miui.region=DF
5. Kemudian simpan dan reboot

Cara 2: Menghapus baris pada build prop
1. Cara 2 ini hampir sama dengan cara 1, hanya saja tidak ditambahkan tanda pagar namun baris ro.product.mod_devices=kenzo_global tersebut langsung dihapus saja
2. Setelah itu save dan reboot

Cara 3: Untuk yang menggunakan Miui 8 Global
1. terdapat sedikit perbedaan untuk kamu yang menggunakan Miui 8
2. HANYA tambahkan saja tanda pagar pada ro.product.device=kenzo menjadi #ro.product.device=kenzo
3. Lalu simpan kemudian reboot

Catatan :
kenzo adalah nama lain dari redmi note 3 pro, jadi buat tipe smartphone xiaomi lain, bukan ttulisan kenzo. Contoh Mi4c= Libra, redmi Note 3 Mediatek = Hennessy, dan lain-lain
